stoneleigh & sidescreens

Had a great day today at Stonleigh. Very impressed at the turnout and quality of the cars! Also good to have a chat with a few of you.

Was also surprised by the amount of attention my sidescrens got (see picture below).

I've got a load of materials and hinges etc. left over from developing mine (I had to buy full sheets etc.) so I though if anybody's interested, I've still got all the templates and I could make a few more sets up for reasonable cost. Could save some hastle for anybody thinking of making some and make up some of the (probably a bit too much) cash I spent on developing them!

Just a thought so if anybody might be intersted, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Cheers

Really nice job. I was admiring those too!

Any chance you could u2u me a price for a pair. No hinges though as I don't have a screen! Would it be possible to fold the top bit over 180 degrees? The bit where you have fixed the window to the door?

Cheers

Mike

Thanks to everyone for your kind comments . Glad you like them!

Those of you whove asked for price, will have a look and get back to, you shortly.

A version with the bottom ali section only and rolled over top edge sounds like a good idea (provide a bit of side protection for those of you with no windscreen and look the part too.)

No problem to do that I woudn't have thought and would be pretty cheap to do too. Just have to think what the best way to fix them would be.

I'l have a look into this too.

Thanks again for all the positive comments!

No problem bob - glad you got on well fitting them. They do look excellent on your car! Hope they improve your driving experience as much as mine have for me!

BTW, If anybody else would like some, no problem to knock up some more as I still have some ali and polycarb left. Just send a U2U.

Cheers

Well there must be a big improvement in the car as mrs bob decided she would like to go out on the test run after fitting, she said it was quiet pleasant
She wasn not to keen on the loud pedal being buried a few times but hey ho

Anyone who is interested in the doors from skidmark can see mine at our meets or the new forest camping next month as well as the Uxbridge autoshow on the 16th of July.
