Good fail today
Well i had a great trip to Norwich today, a round trip of approx 90 miles.
SVA tester started off with a stern look on his face and i was worried as i drove the car into the shed. He soon loosened up a bit and was very
reasonable.
In the end, the main worry points like emissions, noise, self centering and radii, were all passed.
I left with a list of 3 things to rectify before my retest on 28th Sept (how painful, is that wait going to be?!)
a) Brake fluid reservoir, low level warning not working.
b) Light to show that the fog light is turned on.....non existent....whoops!
c) Brake bias bar not adjusted correctly.
So i am a relatively happy chappy!
Thanks to all that have helped me and everyone on here that have helped me without knowing.
Cheers
Gary

Hi.
Sorry to hear that.
One of my worries is the brake bias.( How did you set it up?)
Andy pointer failed on the same thing ( same car as us and same test station)
I had my car started today

Thanks Martin,
I jacked the car up and adjusted the bar to a position that seemed to stop the fronts before the rear.
It seems that i wasted my time and the VOSA computer thought they were miles out. (In practice on the road the rears lock up before the fronts, so it
isn't right!)
Not sure what i am going to do, except adjust the master cylinder rods, because i have run out of adjustment on my bias bar.
Glad yours is alive now!
Cheers
Gary
