Hi all i am soon to be fixing the windcreen to my locost and in the book it says the pillars have to be 5mm Thick metal is this needed as 5mm alloy is
a bit hard to bend to shape

The windscreen supports do need to be fairly sturdy and 5mm is a reasonable size to use. I would suggest that you make left and right hand templates
from thin aluminium that you can easily bend. You will be able to cut out the 5mm thick supports with a jigsaw. You can then take them together with
your templates to a sheet metal firm or to a friend who has a folder. I do have a folder and would be pleased to do them for you but we are a bit out
of the way down here in Devon. Do feel free to send me a U2U if I can help.

I found that 3mm stainless works well as a screen support. Had mine laser cut and had to put a small 'twist' in the top section to make it
follow the line of the car.
