Toyo Proxes R888 and SVA.

Hi all,

Probably been discussed before but can't find anything on the search.

Has anyone had any problems at all with R888 tyres and sva?

Also what tyre pressure should i be running them on?

Cheers Mike

I passed at Gosforth with a set of R888's on.

Still experimenting with pressures, SVA was 30 psi (tyre fitters standard), dropped to 18 on the front and 16 on the back.

Might go back up to 20 on the rear and drop the front down to 16.

Mike

I know nothing about them - why do you think they should be a problem? do they have all the right E marking, speed rating, (not slicks)? etc? search for tyre bible on the web whcih explains this and much much more.

pressure hmmmm, I've asked this but not for those tyres - typically varies from 16 - 22 psi - matter of tyr it and see what feels best; 20 psi is good starting point.

I run my 888's at 15psi front and back and it handles AOK - depends on the weight of the car, the heavier it is the higher the pressure should be (mines just over 400kg)
