Carrol Smith passed away may 15th
I don't know if you all knew this, but according to my latest Autoweek, Carrol Smith, author of some of the best racer and racing books ever
written, including the book "Tune to Win" and others in that series, passed away May 15th, 2003 at age 71.
I didn't know him, but I know that I will miss him. I just thank God that he put his knowledge into print so that all of us could benefit from
his experience. My build experience is a lot richer because of him.

Yeah, I heard that too...shame really his knowledge was very deep and of the type rarely shared. I had much respect for him, but not sure how much I
liked him though....he seemed very arrogant and opinionated....maybe par for the course though in his job..... Not sure he liked Brits
either...
All in all a sad loss.

Don't know about his likes & dislikes, but he was very, very good at conveying his knowledge to a general audience.
He had opinions, and wasn't afraid to air them, but most times I agreed with him, so no problem!
