Dashboard radius

I keep reading that the dash has to have a bottom edge with a 19mm radius. Yet the build manual (and indeed the Velocity demo car I saw) has a flat plastic ABS type sheet with a rubber trim attached. Have any of you passed SVA with this set up?

Cheers
Steve

No padding on the dash edge requires 19mm radius or 38mm diameter, if it is padded to SVA requirements, an SVA inspector said "so you can push it in with your thumb nail, a bit like a school eraser, and it will return to its original shape" then you can use something with a 5mm radius or 10mm diameter. The larger edge trim should be OK but the SVA might want it a bit more permenant than just pushed on.
I started with 22mm plastic conduit until i realised that it was only 11mm radius (left this around the steering exempt area) so have gone up to 40mm waste pipe bonded on and covered with a yoga mat before final covering.
Already planning the upgrade... see my signature

Where's my signature gone?
