Newbie:Chassis/Build/Plans updates
Hello every one.I am gonna make this year the one in which i build my Locost but i was wondering is the print run of my book still ok to use it is the
1999 version has there been any major alterations or must have mods that i should be incorperating in to a build?would i do better to get the latest
book?Cheers

Consensus seems to be you're better off downloading the chassis plans from McSorely.net

There is a wholly new book due out very soon - that might be worth a look.

Granted, the Mcsorley plans are better, but if you cut one tube at a time from the book, the errors are glaringly obvious. Just make sure everythings
square and don't fit FU1/2 until you're ready to put suspension brackets on. The passenger side 'g' tube may need
repositioning slightly depending on the engine / gearbox combination to clear the starter motor.
ISTR the first book contradicts itself wrt trailing arm length too, 11" springs to mind. Mine are 11.5" and some are even 12". The
longer the better.
Just starting the build was a big thing for me - I'd say do it!
Edit to say the new book is Sierra based rather than Escort so is a different animal - closer to the MK Indy (which is no surprise knowing the guy
that built it!)
