rivnut tool
hi guys
anybody got a spare or unused rivnut tool i dont want to make own and dont really want to buy new if i dont have to. did have one not so long ago but
seem to have lost or misplaced rather well was mainly used for M5/M6 rivnuts

if you only have a few to do i can lone you one for a few weeks seeing as your only just up the road

that would be good thank you probably got about 15 to do trouble is it would be between now and 6 months as things are going in as and when they need
to till the end of the build hopefully not long 
would probably need it longer than you would be prepared to loan thanks

herrm i know whats going to happen here, i'll need it as soon as you have it, if you could cut it done to say a month its yours, if not your
going to have to buy one

MK used to do a machined one, you got it when you bought part of the indy KIt maybe they will still sell em seperatly..
Scot's do it better in Kilts.

How many rivnuts are you planning to set? If there aren't too many, you can use a length of steel strip with a bolt, nut and washer.
Drill a hole in the steel strip, leave enough for a handle. Grease the bolt, then fit the nut & washer. Put the bolt through the hole in the
steel strip, then thread on the rivnut fully. Push the rivnut into the hole, and start winding the nut down against the steel strip. You might need
another spanner to stop the bolt turning (3 hands are useful!).
This will set the rivnut properly, but will rapidly knacker the nut & bolt - if you manage to set 6 or 7 before they give out you'll be
doing well.
If you have a lathe you can make a fancy one, as described on my website (link below). That one is much easier to use, and lasts for years!

found it the stupid thing had slid down behind one of the shelves and rested on the support so i couldnt see it i thought id looked everywhere hehe
god job i didnt buy another one that would of been very anoying
