Can't wait!

It's 20 degrees celcius here. Clear skies. No wind. Normally there are almost no bug but in this stage of the season there will be none.

And this weather is expected to continue until next week......

Think I will start late afternoon with a tour around Lago di Como...there is a great little happy hour place on the other side of the lake, view on the lake and a beautifull winding 20km mountain road to get there....:-)

This saterday I plan to do the 'tour of the passes'. Basically 200km of mountain roads through Italy, Switzerland and Austria linked together. Only 100km of highway to get to an from the starting and end point.

Then this Sunday...

Will not live in Italy long; might as well enjoy it! Anybody want to come along?

One of my enduring lifetime memories is a boat trip around Lake Como I did about 30 years ago, certainly one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited.......

I was lucky enough to visit there a few times with work a few years back. Truly spectacular. Ive eaten in some nice places around the world but around Como has to be amongst the most memorable.
