Avon Gearbox Mount

I bought my Avon kit part built (by Tiger London). It came with a trackday only unstamped engine so I've got to the stage of taking that out to put a new one in - and found the gearbox mounts haven't been bolted to the chassis. They're just sitting on top of a couple of chassis bars with no bolt holes drilled.

Is this how it's meant to be? Seems a bit wobbly to me - and it's going to be Very Interesting drilling two bolt holes with the aluminium panel above rivetted on!

Thanks

I have bolted mine to the two extra box sections in the tunnel. Mine is the sierra one.

You have mentioned mounts in the plural, so I guess you have more than one?Guess you may have a different setup?

If you cant get to the mount/s from above it should be possible to get to them from below and drill up?

Thanks
Adrian

Thanks. I've got one mount with bolt flanges either side, each sitting on a little box section.

I think I'll have to drill up from below, or get one of those 90 degree drill adaptor things. Either way it's going to be a nightmare to drill in the right place without going through the fuel pipe.

Something they really should have done properly.
