Mega jolt/X flow

How easy would it be to use a mega jolt on a 1700 Xflow?

I've got a mate that is thinking of using one on his Westfield.
Would he have to fit a toothed wheel to his crank? or is there another way to get the signal?

Simple, I just used a longer crankshaft pulley bolt and bolted the toothed wheel to the front of the pulley.

It's not welded or dowelled, and against all my predictions has gone a few thousand miles without moving.
