Another Insurance thread....

Anybody got any idea how I can get a cheaper insurance quote?
Basically I need to take my 4 yrs NCB off the Tiger to use on a tintop I'm thinking of buying. I've asked my current insurer but they can't quote on a flat rate (cheap) style quote due to my age.
_ footman james who were the cheapest want £458.00 for the year limited to 3K miles etc etc. Seems a bit steep to me. I'm 21 wont have any ncb etc etc.
Anyone got some hot leads as to who is doing cheap car insurance at the moment?
Also looking for a quote for potentialy new tintop, so if anyone knows of any cheap ones going (4 years NCB) let me know, please! Cheers Oli.

PS.

I have licence "issues" and I ended up at graham sykes with a Very restricted mileage and with a rebuild it myself policy.
I started out the day being quoted £480 and ended at £340 fully comp.
which even at 31 when you see my licence is pretty good...

As for the tin top, I have not used them myself, but my younger cousins all use Quin Direct, and it was by far the cheapest.

My Indy only costs £450, and I was 22 (am 23 now) at the time of the policy. That's 5k miles for a Blackbird engine all the usual bits etc etc.
Any clues as to the tintop? I found HIC, Adrian Flux and the like to be pretty similar for me, but all my cars have been modified.

I was quoted approximately £500 for my GTS by adrian flux. 2 litre pinto, 7500 miles. 21 with no NCB.

So your quote doesnt seem far off.
