CV joint boot

My pug has been making some funny noises for the last few days and after I had a quick look I noticed the CV joint boot had slipped off (CV boot at wheel). What is the best way to slip the boot back on?

Chances are if it's been off for any length of time then the joint will be full of grit and at the least you should strip it down, clean it all and refill with new grease,
..........or put a new joint on.

Alternatively refit the boot and wait till it gives up and then replace the joint.

I'ts not making noise cos the boots come off - it's making a noise cos it's sha**ed.

Cheers

Mark

sounds like you might need a new one or a louder wireless

Yup! If the boot is split but the joint is noise-free you can get glue-round easyfit CV boots which have lasted over a year on my tintop (saves cracking the track-rod ends)... But if it's noisy it probably needs cleaning at the very least if not replacing....
