gsxr throttle bodies

hi ive striped down to take the 2nd butterflys out do you just fill the holes on the ends do you have to fill the ones joining the bodies together. and these are going on a 2L zetec can i use the standard zetec injectors.


thanks to all that have helped me hope iam not p**ing you off with all my questions lol

Absoultley. These are on the wrong side of the air filter so should be bunged up.

Self tapper will (Prolly best to cut any bit off that is protruding inside the bodies).

You could even just put the old bar though if you wanted.

I'd be inclined to say it doesn't matter. The only air that could come through those holes would be from the adjacent body, which would already have been filtered. Since the holes are before the butterflies it won't have any effect on the amount of air flowing to the cylinders.

Edit: This assumes there is no way for air to get in through those holes that has not been filtered - I'm not that familiar with the shape of the casting on these bodies. If 'dirty' air can get in then yes, they need to be bunged up.

no air can get in as its sealed from one to the other side.its drilled in the casting.
thats what i thought but i wanted to make sure as its the first time iam using bike bodies

I'd be tempted to tie them together in a vacuum manifold, if you're using a map sensor based injection system

They're outside the butterflies, won't see much vacuum there.

I reckon you should be OK to leave those holes open, but on the other hand if you're filling the outer ones it's not much effort to do the rest while you're at it...
