Another CEC killer alive!

it started!!!

I bought my engine almost 4 years ago, never having heard it run. This weekend I finally got my fueltank and fuelpump, It cought a bit for the first few seconds but then it just ran! What a great feeling!

Although I havent been posting here a lot, I've been following this forum for over 5 years ( even before the first Hellfire was born )
I would like to thank you all for all the tips you've provided! Without this forum I wouldnt even have thought of starting my whole build.

Again thanx all!

Glad to hear the engine is running.

Just looking through the pictures of your running gear painting on that forum...

I found that having painted the the hubs meant that firstly the wheel would fit onto the hub. Then, having having scraped it from the centre ring, the paint on the face of the hub put the brake disc and wheel out of 'true' and the brake disc would rub on the pads.

In the end I cleaned the paint of the entire hub face, then the brakes were ok.

Hope that helps,
James

your work is excellent - I am really impressed, it seems well planned and nicely exicuted.

And your cute little girl grinning her head off made the read of that entire thread all the more enjoyable!

GOOD WORK! *thumbs up*

Thanks for the comments, I really appreciate it.
I'll have a look at the paint on the hubs when I get to a rolling stage
