New Intel CPU error
I've just installed a new Quad Core CPU in my machine. Now when I fire up the PC I get an error message straight up - uCode Loading Error Press
F1 to continue.
Once I press F1 everything then starts up fine ...... any ideas?

Update the bios on the mobo, it doesn't recognise the code the CPU gives it.

Silly question - is the mobo designed for a quad core cpu?
Cheers,

Yup - checked with Scan who I bought it from, it's only 12 months only and was a decent Asus one at the time.
I'll update the Bios when I get home - thanks chaps.
And BTW - excellent service from Scan, arrived next day and very helpful on the phone.....
