don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Burning fibreglass smell?
In an office it's usually a monitor or PC dying.

Go for a wander with a CO2 or powder extinguisher and have some fun

Umm, if you smell something burning you should check it out otherwise it could be too late. As my friend Rob found out when his entire garage went up in flames. It was fully engulfed when he discovered it. I don't know how he had the presence of mind to video tape it, but he did.

It is a horrific video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEQqaINrjA4

Over 1.5M usd in cars and motorcycles burnt to the ground.
