pinto engined locost

any pinto engined locost owners in the essex area..

i have bought a "book" chassis and need a couple of pointers..

Nowhere near you but can send pics if that would help.

The major issue I found was the height of the engine - had to make up lower mounts which then potentially angles up the back of the gearbox in the tunnel, Also getting the thing far enough back that the gearbox and lever were in a good position to avoid needing a remote gearchange option.

I also ran the exhaust over the chassis rail as my first attempt was as per the book and it got in the way of the steering . Also need to watch that there is space for the alternator to avoid the steering if you have it on the exhaust side (as I do).
