BMW X6 --- utterly pointless !
In the last few hours I have seen two BMW X6 on the road --- I used to the the Range Rover Turbo Sport was obscene.
What cretinous over paid idiot would be in need of such an ego boost as to need such an utterly pointless vehicle ---- Still you have to hand it to
BMW building a car the size of a Range Rover with the interior space of a Ford Ka.

Presumably DVLA will now start selling these unimaginative tw@ts X6 registrations. And in a few years time, for those of them on a tight budget, X66
registrations!

What's so utterly pointless about it? It's a vehicle that transports people from A to B and the new range of BMW engines are actually
quite efficient.
It's not to my taste but that doesn't make X6 owners cretinous and over-paid IMHO.

Loadsa moneeeeey! It says I'm so much richer than you that I don't have to care. I don't care about the tax. I don't care
about the mileage. I don't care about the enviroment. I don't care about other road users. If I crash it it's you that dies. I
don't even care that it's a piece of carp. You can't afford one so there. Loadsa moneeeeeey.

That's about the size of it. Maybe some humour in there but all basically true.
At least half the people driving them will be blonde with straight shoulder length hair and big dark glasses

It's the Porsche Cayenne that really gets on my nerves. I thought it was all a big joke until I actually saw one on the road, I didn't
quite believe Porsche could stoop quite so low (or in actual fact, high). Never seen one so much as mount a kerb, let alone actually go in the
horrible dirty mud stuff, good god no mustn't get any on the wheels
I know people will pipe up with freedom of choice and driving chelsea tractors is no worse than us driving nasty fast polluting cars and we could all
be in a Prius, but no. I buy fast cars because I want to go fast, and I do go fast. I use it for what it is meant to do, something a nice little Lupo
diesel can't provide. If someone bought a seven just to look good at the McDrive you'd rightly lay into them, and for the vast majority of
chelsea tractor drivers it's exactly the same.
And hardly any of them can drive the feckin' things

I can't believe I'm reading this garbage, if you don't like it then don't buy one. It'd be a boring place if we all
liked the cars. The cool wall is a load of tripe anyway, The db9's uncool acording to that.

It's not really the cars that people here don't like, it's the people who buy and drive them.

I'm struggling to see why it bothers folks so much. If you don't like to look at folks with money, come to my house. I work with a guy who
runs BMWs and it is an image. He was looking at an Audi A4 for his GF and considered a Passat which is the same car for all she would notice but as it
didn't have the right badge on the grill, he bought the A4. It didn't bother me at all. He's just swapped his X5 for a 7 series
(IIRC) and actually made money when he sold the X5. I've never sold a car and made money!!
In fact this whole subject isn't worth me commenting on. So I, er, won't.....

Trouble with this is that the amount of resources used to manufacture it makes the efficiencies of the engine a drop in the ocean. I particulary
dislike the ego-seeking morons who drive this type of vehicle - look at me, look at me, see how much money I have. In respect of the hideous Porch
Cay, Porch Kayen... whatever it's f*@^ing name is... what a total waste of good metal and insult to the Porsche name...

people who buy these cars are usually playing the 'beat the smiths' game. In fact, i think most people are overly concerned about what
other people think of them, and feel the need to attempt to impress people. You could call me jealous, but im in a good place; i dont actually give a
toss what people think of me No flash car could replace high self esteem.
To me, a car like the x6 (or whatever the current trend, it used to be ranger sports etc) is a statement that you have clambered to the top of the
pile and stuck two fingers up at those below.

Whilst I'm not a fan of BMW's or their (generalisation alert!!!) drivers; at the end of the day if someome's made a couple of quid,
good luck to them, even if their taste in my opinion leaves a little to be desired.
If you want wealth, last week I had to go and do a maintenance job on a couple pieces of work we installed a while back.
The owner of said pieces lives in a house that (going on what we saw in local estate agency windows during a lunch break) would be worth around £2 -
£3m, there are two Bentleys (one hard; one soft tops of same recent model), an X5, a Range Rover Sport and and Cooper on the driveway and he has
apparently got another 30 cars.
I met him when we delivered the work, and he was a really nice bloke (aside of the X5, that is) .

Thats exactly what i was thinking when reading this post, one pulled out right across my path today - was doing around 45 and had to brake to avoid
hitting his rear end!!! Nothing behind me either, or coming the other way in fact so could easily have pulled out after i'd sailed past!!?! It
was black and had huge black alloys - noob!!!

As was put in rather more words, the vehicles' owners are saying a big "F### you" to everyone and everything they run into/across.
Most are rented or leased and not actually owned anyways, so they may not be as well off as they appear to want you to believe.
And I am not jealous, I just hate them because most of them take almost insane pleasure out of cutting people off and not staying in their lanes, all
while talking on the phone: "Can't you see I'm on the phone, you idiot? Now get out of my way"

The X5, the Cayenne and most of the other big Chelsea tractors are fuel greedy inefficient polluting vehicles that take up too much road space and
are generally drive by Sloane housewives who watch the shopping channels, drug dealers and pimps but as vehicles they have some redeeming
features.
The X6 really can't justify its existence on any grounds what so ever, in that it joins a very select few vehicles the Hummer, the Range Rover
Turbo Sport and those really enormous GMC pickups that take up 4 parking bays in the supermarket car park.
