Sierra Washer Switch adaptation
I would like to alter the function of the sierra washer switch (right hand front column mounted stalk) but to be honest I'm struggling. Judging
from the internal connections it fires both pump (first) then wipers upon further depression.
My question is "Has anyone adapted the washer push switch to be used as a 'horn' without major trickery?".
I'm generally ok with leckies but this one has flumoxed me...
I will be running through relay, any advice would be welcome! Vince?

Mine has the horn push on the end of the stalk. It's easier if you find one like that, that way if you don't want a screen you can cut the
wiper stalk off. They were used on Mk2 Fiestas as well as Sierras, same fitting, switch and connector block.
yours, Pete.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Is the MK2 Fiesta stalk made for button horn then?
The sierra one we have is windscreen washer button...
Sounds like a trip to the dismantlers then don't you just love it!

I'm back with the details of how we did it. If your lights/multi function switch connection on the back are marked the same as ours, & I
believe that the Sierra switch connection marks do vary, it goes as follow:-
Viewed from the rear you need the 2 wires that go onto connections 53c (black wire) & 54 (black/violet wire), these are the bottom left and 2nd up
on the extreme right respectively.
This works OK for us.
We have connected this in parallel with the standard horn push, which means minimal wiring changes when we replace the steering wheel after SVA.
