CDI Problem?
Can anyone figure this out? My latest problem is that my car (ZX9) won't start unless I switch the ignition on then unplug the small plug on the
CDI then plug it back in?
The CDI has 6 cables coming out being:
4 x spark plugs wires
1 x earth
1 x to ignition fuse/fusebox
I've tried unplugging each coil one at a time then trying to start and the earth is fine. Wierd one this?

You dont say if it has run normally before? Are all the sensors fitted?

Well yes. The only thing I've done electrics wise since the last time it worked fine is indicator and clocks minor wiring and soldered 2 main
earths into one and extended them slightly. There's still continuity in the earth.

Don't be saying that. Took me bloody months just to get this far. I've heard CossieBri had the same problem once.

It's not the c.d.i ,i bought another thinking that was the problem.Even had a m/c electrics specialist take a look (for 2 hrs-all i could
afford) and still had no luck. Used to use it as another imobilser!
If it doesn't fit MODIFY it!!
