Road tax on a 1975 car?!??
Im soo tempted to buy a 1975 TVR with a 2.5L straight 6 in it.....It makes so much sence..
However, I was under a dilusion that the road tax would be free...
Does anyone have any idea how much it will actually cost??

£185 for a year standard isn't it?
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

If I wanted an economical car I would buy a Chevrolet Kalos....
I dont mind paying for the fuel on a nice sunday afternoon hoon session....But dont see the point in paying road tax on something thats only going to
see the roads for 3000 miles a year....

The rule is manufactured before 1st January 1973.

Although there is a fair bit of support for reverting it back to a rolling date, especially when the rest of Europe has one!!!

As above, if you can prove that it was built before 1973 then its free but you need to back this up.
Your road tax would be £180 p.a rising to £220 p.a
NB/ the 2.5 straight 6's are not that well liked so it should be cheap relatively.
