Idler pulley

Like this:

Went to my local scrapyard and there were about 10% the amount of cars there are usually! Where have they all gone?

Anyone have an idler pulley lying around or know where I can get one? 30mm wide pulley

Don't know if this will help but I used a VW one from GSF p/no 13140 OE ref 051 109 243 it's
a Passat Cam belt tensioner with flanges on both sides. Can go and take dimensoins if required. Cost was c.£18 + VAT.
Cheers, Pewe

Cool, I just need to know the pulley width, as long as it has a flange/backing plate then I can modify that to fit my engine

Width between the flanges is 27mm, pulley diam. 72mm - quite big but you'll prob. find Polo ones are smaller if required.

I bought one like that off Ebay from a Land Rover Disco. Looked about 50mm diameter in the photo. When I finally got it, it was 200mm and weight a tonne!!!! You can have that if you want

The land rover one sounds a bit too big

Roman, I need one where the pulley sits on top of the backing plate, the one you posted looks like it's to the side?

I'll look further into the VW parts, pewe

cheers
