help needed to make a good choice+ hello!
hi there,
new here, i'm looking for another BEC to use it as a track day car (not road legal in france) another because i have a mk indy blackbird, but my
father want to enjoy it from time to time so we need a second car.
my choice was first a MNR, but i only want to spend 10000 max for this, wich is a fair amount IMHO.so Mk indy comes again, because they are
cheaper.
i had a look at several cars on PH, especialy green ZX10 MNR, but the guy doesn't seem to answer anymore since i offer 10500 with full rollcage
(must) fitted.i also had a look at the purple mk indy, wich looks good and perfect for me because not SVA, but engine lake BHP in comparison with my
MK.i see a mk busa for sale here, looks good but need retro fitted rollcage and busa is not the best for track use...
anyone can advise me somewhere to look to find the right car?
wich on sounds the best for you among those listed in my description?
sorry for my english.
cheers

Hi Antonio and welcome to the Forum - you will get all sorts of varying advice from a question like this so I'll start.
As a Trackday solely car - personally I would go for either an MNR or MK's new Indy. You should be able to keep within your £10000 budget as you
have already the knowledge and tools required from your previous build. I understand your comments about the 'busa engine and a Blackbird
isn't bullet-prrof enough for a Trackday Car IMO. The latest 'blade, R1, ZX10 and GSXR although not well proven, seem well up for the job.
I would say get your chassis manufacturer sorted first - the engines arent SO much different on performance especially in a car!
Depending upon the Tracks you are considering driving on, if they are long with fast corners dont discount a CEC as they are more suited, but not as
much fun... apparently
If it was me - I would chose MNR with ZX10!

talking £££ guys!
hellfire, thanks for your advice.
zx10 MNR was my first choice, but sellers does not answer anymore and it was built has a road car, so i would have to get rid off (spelling??!) all
"SVA" parts...maybe could get money back if i sell them! probleme is that MNR asks 1200£ to fit a T45 rollcage.so the car is over priced
for me.
does the new R indy chassis worth the extra cost? better than MNR RT+?

Should be able to do a lightweight trackday only MNR / Mac#1 or MK for that money quite easily. And of course some of the other makes.
Have you looked at Procomp cars and other specialist types.

yes but i don't want to build it myself. i have four cars in my garage, so no more space for a new build and no time too.

Hi
In which case Tim C's car sounds like it fulfils all the requirements. And is brand new.
