Can we get an option to turn this off in our profile setting, All I see at the bottom of each post now is our corperate firewall "Not allowed" message meaning I'm now being tracked as surfing "dodgeeeee" sites.

Alfa145 - 5/11/10 at 12:30 PM

agreed, a sure fire way of my company blocking this site. Which would mean I have to do some work :p

speedyxjs - 5/11/10 at 12:30 PM

Im not entirely sure how it can work without logging in to facebook???

I agree. A common way of restricting a site is by keyword so if Facebook is linked from a page, often the whole page can get blocked.

coozer - 5/11/10 at 12:55 PM

Yep, how can we turn it off?

Ben_Copeland - 5/11/10 at 04:10 PM

Dont matter to me, but personally its a bit tacky .... Turn it off PLEASE !

clairetoo - 5/11/10 at 04:27 PM

Adblock plus is your friend at times like this
Two clicks and its gone .

twybrow - 5/11/10 at 05:01 PM

Off off off!

Hellfire - 5/11/10 at 06:13 PM

I wondered why our corporate firewall message was at the bottom of every post whilst I was on LCB this afternoon. Another vote from me to turn it off....

Phil

Sorry, it's staying for now. At least for the weekend. I'll make a decision early next week.

Chris

You're confusing Facebook with Twitter.

The only difference is you'd be on twitter-ing mid-squeeze, whereas you'd tell people on facebook you were going for one and you were back from one.

Unfortunately, that just stops it being displayed - it still arrives at your browser.

I agree, lose the shite facebook,

Surely we the elected members of this brilliant site have a say, in whats on our profiles ?
also the abilty to turn it on, off, in my case

I for one can not stand the inane facebook, friend reignited, twitter (sad fuckers) type of hype
or any of the other "lets keep in touch type of moranic crap"

I have friends, some close, some a couple of years adrift, but i have there phone no, and they have mine, and if we want o say hi, etc we ring

my phone hasnt rung for 5.6 years ??????????????????

matt.c - 5/11/10 at 10:18 PM

I vote to get rid too.

scootz - 5/11/10 at 10:27 PM

So how does it work then!?

You click the 'Like' button below a post, then that post appears on your FB wall???

Thinking about it - 5/11/10 at 10:30 PM

Off for me too.

LCB will become invaded by facebook nutters.

SeaBass - 5/11/10 at 11:46 PM

Get rid of it please.... Facebook has nothing to do with LB

indykid - 6/11/10 at 12:07 AM

i'm glad to see the message reply box is bigger but if we can't have a vote to remove such things that get the site blocked at work, can we have our fivers back?

if you need more money, can you let us know how much we need to chip in
cheers
tom

NigeEss - 6/11/10 at 12:08 AM

Sorry Chris,

I also think it should be dropped.

Maybe we should have a poll ?
Democracy and all that

Hmmm....... T'would appear the forum section for "Any discussions regarding this website ONLY ........"
doesn't allow polls !!
