Sierra steering coupling source?
falcor75 - 5/6/23 at 10:23 AM

I'm using the RD850 from RallyDesign on my car but its got an annoying dead zone so I want to get a replacement.
As RD only accepts EU orders above 150£ they are sorta disqualified as a supplier.

So I'm looking for alternative suppliers, link to the part on RD below.

You could try https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/forged-universal-joint-with-different-splines-34-916
they do other sizes to this one.

Do Rally Design accept PayPal payments?

If they do you may be able to pay via PayPal in GBP. You'll have to live with PayPal's exchange rate (not always the best), but it may be a way around the problem.

Car builder solutions also do the Ford Sierra part you want https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/steering-universal-joint-ford-sierra-triangle-end?gclid=CjwKCAjwsvujBhAXEiwA_UXnAEGyfXI4rujoFaDYjhax6CZyCBy0m3_-94A RAJ8MSE9uJFBcpmZksBoCDsMQAvD_BwE

I found a similar problem on my car that uses a Sierra column, cured it by changing the lower bush where it goes through the bulkhead to a self aligning bearing that someone on this site recommended. Made a huge difference to self center ing as well
