I'm thinking about buying some Proxes, which compound do I buy for the road and occasional track day?

Soft for me...

Just bought a set from demon tweeks last week £290 fitted. Thought that was a good deal.

For our cars, the only choice is really soft or supersoft. I think I read on here that the super softs are amazing, but wear quickly. The softs take a bit more warming up to work 100% but should last a bit longer.

dont touch the soft (SG) compound! These were tested during a round of the Tiger Racing Series this year and after 15 minutes they were so hot they couldnt be touched and the heat had transferred to the hub which i think needed regreasing after. The soft compound is really only suitable for sprints and hill climbs the standard compound is plenty sticky enough for both race and road use, HTH

Was that the soft (SG) of the super-soft?

It is a race series - which is quite a different story to road/track day use... I read on here that the medium (GG) is too difficult to get upto temperature... Any one have experience of this?

Just bought a set of new 205x50x15 and was advised to go for the medium...have not put them on the wheels yet but have heard from someone else that theirs are amazing...................interested to hear other comments before i put them on the wheels........cheers

Thinking of buying a set a winter tyres after a whoopy on my a032's which proved not to work on cold wet roads.

175/13, not bothered too much about profile, just something sticky on wet muddy roads in Lincolnshire

I've got gg fitted, not turned a wheel yet though.
