Dashboard almost finished

Just a little up date for you!

I had been thinking for a while as to how I should mount my acewell dash. I thought about making some sort of pod that goes over it so the IVA man cant get to the edge (apparently the warning light bit isn't iva proof). The I thought about making a clear cover and mounting it behind, althought I did not like the idea of that. So, here is the dashboard before I started.....

I then decided to start cutting and mount it just set in, so I could trim around it and make it flush fitting. Took what seems like ages to ge there, but its all bonded in and I'm happy with the end result. Just need to put it back in the car.

Another job ticked off the list.

I think that part is what took me so long. The u trim I had left over was for 2mm ali panel and the fibreglass dash was 5 to 6mm. So had to chamfer the edge all the way round the back to get a neatish fit. Happy with results
