Gaz, is that black paint or could they come with bare primer, would they be ok to flood fill with thin paint is that how you've done these if that is indeed black paint. Thinking about it you've probably just painted them and the sanded the tops to leave it shiney.

Cheers Rich

they look pretty smart

Gaz 1977 - 30/6/08 at 07:30 PM

Hi Rich,

I finished the ones in the pic by spraying the whole thing satin black then sanding the paint off the raised surface with 1200 grit (in one direction) and then i laquered the surface, its alot easier then flooding.

If you want them in primer you can.

whats on the back of them - ie how do you mount them?

Gaz 1977 - 30/6/08 at 08:51 PM

I have tryed to cover all the bases as far as fitting them.

There are two 3.2mm pins on the back of each badge so you can drill two small holes to locate the pins on the body.

You can run a die down the pins and use small nuts to bolt them on.

you could crush the ends of the pins to fatten them once the pins are through the holes and use a little epoxy on the ends.

or you could cut the pins off and use mounting tape to stick them on. (my favorite)

I hope this is of some use.
