locost 7 roof

Hi all, I have a feeling I know the answer to this but I thought I would try my luck. Is it at all possible to put a 'soft' roof on the car when it has a low windscreen like this.

Any help would be great!

Yes, you do.

Yes you can... The first thing to do is add a windscreen.....or a roll bar! :-)

Sorry couldn't resist!

Attaching the front of a vinyl roof to the top of an aeroscreen is going to give some serious vision and headroom issues.

if you did you would create a massive area of drag just like a dragsters parachute ;-)

It has been done:

Even the standard windscreen could do with being taller sometimes when the roof is on. The only way you could do it with an aeroscreen is to make up a perspex section that can be clipped on and around the aeroscreen to take it to the same height as a standard screen. you would also need some side supports for it, would need it to be optical grade and would really need to have wipers on it. In short if you need weathergear you really need a full screen.

Fit a full roll cage and fasten the roof to that

How easy is it to change from that type of windscreen to a full windscreen?
