Invisible glue
ianr - 11/2/08 at 02:38 PM

My original driver door had a plastic window, with small screws in it to the fibre glass. This screw holes have got bigger and the screws are comining out.

I thought it would be easy to glue but am having trouble finding glue that is invisible.

Can anyone suggest a way for me to stick perspex to fibre glass ?

Thanks

Ian

You are looking for invisible glue and can't find it?

Think about it.

yeah point taken.

Maybe i should say clear glue. Glue that does not dry white.

If i use bigger screws they will show more and come loose again.

Durabond, Lexel - clear

It's not a structural adhesive but it's pretty damn sticky, claims to stick to anything (having spent an hour peeling it off myself I'll believe that) and water clear. My local builders merchant has it.

Thin layer of Araldite (the slow one) is near as damn-it clear but not especially flexible. I also doub't it'll bond to polycarbonate.

How about Epoxy Resin?
