MNR OTHER BRIT KIT CAR 1000CC R1 ENGINE!!! BREAKING FOR SPARES!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone know who's this was? Or the outcome of the crash?

Looks like a high speed impact to bend like that?

kj - 11/5/14 at 07:23 AM

Nasty bend must have going some hope they were ok

Nickp - 11/5/14 at 07:35 AM

Saw that, must've hurt!!

jelly head - 11/5/14 at 07:35 AM

Jeez.. made me wince that.

looks like the drivers harness has been cut..

Slimy38 - 11/5/14 at 08:17 AM

Mmm, that didn't look too bad in a few of the pictures.... but then I noticed the inner chassis has come away from the passenger side body panel and the panel has sprung back into place. The intact harness on the passenger side suggests the driver was on his/her own (thankfully!).

I reckon it's been t-boned while on a roundabout or going past a junction.

Good job I'm already thinking about side impact protection for my car!

HowardB - 11/5/14 at 08:38 AM

helmet in the passenger seat? Looks like the harness was cut on the drivers side

Let's hope that all involved were ok,.

makes you think, side impact protection,.... next on the list then

CosKev3 - 11/5/14 at 08:57 AM

I was thinking big off on a track day?

Deffo been on track at some time, due to the noise test sticker on roll bar

Also if it was T boned wouldn't the impact point be bigger? Unless it was a motorbike that T boned it?

nasty feeling the driver must have been hurt quite badly, for his helmet to still be in the pass seat of car at a breakers yard

Looks like its slammed sideways into a pole, and that's why we all need a good full cage IMO...

Once saw a bloke come hooning down the road on a cbr600 and go too close to the edge and caught a telegraph pole at the side of the road. Bike was trashed, broken in half and the riders was like a rag doll...

Hi lads,

Just to let you know, the guy involved in the accident is doing really well!

Difficult time for his family over Xmas, after a while in a coma and weeks of therapy he's back home still needing a lot of physio and speech therapy but making huge progress to getting back to full health.

From what I've been told it was a side impact from a 4x4 that pulled out into the mnr not seeing it coming down the road.

Take it easy guys, he was only on a two min drive home from the gym!

ian locostzx9rc2 - 11/5/14 at 11:52 AM

Glad to here he's on the mend nasty impact glad there wasn't a passenger !

HowardB - 11/5/14 at 12:12 PM

I'm sure I'm not alone in wishing him a speedy recovery

Slimy38 - 11/5/14 at 12:53 PM

Good to hear the driver is recovering, not at all surprised it was a 4x4. Having driven a Kia Sportage hire car for a brief journey I was scared how oblivious I was to everything. It's the complete opposite to being on a bike which I'm more used to.

big_wasa - 11/5/14 at 01:34 PM

Was he wearing the lid ?

Johneturbo - 11/5/14 at 04:53 PM

Very sad to see
I wish him a full recovery

it now seems half the cars on the road are 4x4
