My youtube channel
killerferret666 - 20/1/18 at 02:57 PM

I have a youtube channel which i post my car videos on. Mainly of the build and the car but random other stuff. Im trying to get to 1000 subscribers due to youtubes change in policy. If the channel is of interest to you, it would be great if youd subscribe.

thanks

Good luck. I’ve been hit by the changes as well, the watch time is going to be the hardest, need 240,000 minutes of watch time in the last 12 months

Thanks good luck to you too

I've hit the watch time without an issue which is the annoying part. Ive never tried to get subscribers and dont even do alot of videos but the time is there from them alone.

Had a quick look at your channel, you’re doing well on subs! I’m no where near on either unfortunately

Lose some features including the ability to run advertising

yep and your videos wont be as highly featured in results. As less advertising.
If barely anyone will see them then I wont bother, whilst currently I get asked questions on the build etc...

The advertising is about £60 a year so is nothing really.

Youtube have publicly stated that whether or not a video is running advertising has no effect on its ranking. I have some videos that are very highly ranked (top 5 for most relevant searches and top 1 and 2 on a couple of the most relevant) so guess I'll be able to say with certainty once they boot me out of YPP

old ones I don't think they'll change but new ones going 100% they wont get ranked as high.

Otherwise the revenue they get in from advertising is going to drop a hell of a lot and no business will do that to themselves. we'd be talking millions lost due to people watching a load of videos with no advertising on them.
