Doesn't Time Fly?

Hi

Well, looking at my posting history I see it's over 15 years since I was last here . Since then not a lot has happened to my Locost project which is gathering dust in my garage. I have since, however, restored several classic two wheelers and built my 'ideal' workshop. Now I've been asked to assist with the build of an MK RX5 which I'm quiet looking forward to. Are there any members on here with RX5 experience that they wish to share? you never know, the Locost project may just get a kick start as a by product

Regards Mick

Welcome back

As said - the forum is slower these days.....but still here!

I too built (and sold) my MK Indy some years back now.
Would love to build again, but life changes.

Best of luck with your new project, and maybe your Locost gets reborn as well!

I still have mine. I did a track day at Abingdon airfield on Friday with two of my kids. The youngest wasn't born when I built the MK

You may have seen my mate Colin in his Dax Rush (Hayabusa turbo)

I did - he was fast but seemed to be having some mechanical/starting issues.

Yep, apparently spun in the first session and didn't get the clutch in quick enough so destroyed the starter motor (common on BECs) so had to bump start before every session for the rest of the day. Also had a top end misfire now traced to a vacuum leak. Hope you had a good day in yours.

I think he got towed in pretty early in the day. Hopefully not too serious to fix. We had a great day. The Zetec took a thrashing as there were three of us driving but didn't miss a beat. It's the first time I've done a track day on semi slicks and they make a massive difference!
