Well just got back from the hospital today. The bad news is that Sara (Wifely) still remembers me.
Got Sara to The Radcliffe yesterday afternoon, booked her in and then the stream of doctors etc started. She signed the consent form last night after
I had left (after 20:30 kicking out time) and they woke her this morning and the prep started. They took her down to theatre about 11:30 this morning
while I was still on the way there. I finally got there about 12:30, went and got something to eat and returned to the ward about 14:00. The next two
hours were possibly the worst, sitting waiting to hear something. Anything would have been nice, but, they don't tell you anything (except the
worst) until the patient is comming back to the ward. Just before she returned the Surgeon turned up and said that the op went well, just about as
planned (I didn't ask, thought better not to) the mass was removed and Sara seemed to be doing well. He said he thought the mass was caused by a
(IIRC) irregular blood supply but we will have full Biopsy results in about 2 days.
About 10 minutes later (it felt like about 3 days) Sara was wheeled back into the ward. For a little while Sara was concious for about 10 seconds out
60 seconds and that continued until she started to doze off at 17:30 waking about every 15 - 20 minutes until she finally fell asleep for about an
hour till 19:30. The next hour was a delight untill kicking out time as Sara was mostly awake and totally aware.
Fingers crossed her progress continues so well.
Edit bit.
Thank you ALL for your support.

Best wishes and fingers crossed!
My thoughts are with you both. Wishing wifely a speedy recovery and I hope your stress, blood pressure, anxiety starts to get back to somewhere near normal too (cars cause enough of these issues without health complications!)
I'm glad to hear it went well mate.
I know exactly how you are feeling. It's a bloody awful feeling, being so helpless and feeling so useless at the same time isn't it?
I hope everything goes well for you.
I'll be thinking of you both.
Sincere best wishes to you both.
John.
Hope things just keep getting better.
You and your wife have my best wishes too.
