My mother read it on Facebook before I'd seen it anywhere and I thought it was a joke or something, it was sad when it was confirmed to be true.

71 isn't a bad age considering some of the other people who've died this week.

Considering what he did to himself for those years, he lasted quite a while. Great artist.

Sad to see the news on Lou Reed...
