I got a li ion battery for a friend,it came all the way from China no bother, as they wouldnt post to anywhere but UK, i decided i would get it posted here then post it on to poland.
oh how wrong i was, postie and a couple of couriers have said it is a prohibited item so must go attached to something,it,s still sealed in it,s box so short of putting it in my car and driving there, anyone have any ideas ?

Pack it in something else you wanted to send?

Last time I bought a battery was last year from eBay, and it arrived by courier. I didn't give it a second thought at the time so not sure who delivered it. Is eBay still full of new car batteries?

you can post dry batteries within this country, just not abroad....just how it got from china to me within 3 days and not using a plane remains a mystery

Could you put it in a metal box and ship that? Should fool an Xray machine ;-)

I couldn't even ride in a taxi last time I bought a car battery, after walking 3 miles in blazing sun with the 13Kg battery my mate popped round and said he'd been in all day and would have taken me in his van. Driving to Poland could be kind of fun.
