loads of set of them on ebay, way cheaper than webers. i bought a set for zx9r carbs (inc tps for use with megajolt) for about £50, you might need to
make a manifold yourself for it, or someone on here may want to sell you one.
all in, its easy enough.
someone else will have more info on fitting one to a cross flow
the manifold doesn't need to be too complicated either, here's mine (photos were of it in development) given the space you'll have, it
should be easier than mine was

i've got those for mine, but my car is a 2.0. i don't know if they're good for a 1.6/1.7
problem is i like the look of the webers
i got one on my mk2 golf it sounds great looks the biz and preforms 100 X better than the peirberg ( or what eva it was )
some webers on ebay 2nd hand i may hav a go at those bit of polish and new gaskets and you wont b able to tell that they hav eva seen sun light lol

Be very careful with second hand DCOE's, many have been bodged in their life and you can end up with a pair of expensive desk ornaments with
stripped threads, bent spindles, missing jets, cracked castings etc.
Don't forget to take into account the cost of a rolling road session to jet them, IF you can find a place that is still happy to jet carbs.
ya lol gud point but is that not the same with the bike carbs needing to jet them
i am still thinking of new ones cos of the shine factor and no problems with them
and when i come to sell the car i can then keep the carbs to use on my next one

i've not got any experience yet, but i'm told bike carbs do need an initial set up, but hold the settings better, and are will give you
better MPG and throttle response over webers.
if webers is what you want though, don't forget about delotoro (sp?) and the other identical ones. i think they were made under license from
weber
but there must be some reason why these lads swear by bike carbs

I would go for bike carbs every time. Had webers on my 1.8 zetec had nothing but smells of petrol and not too smooth either, not much better than a bucket with a hole in. Got zx6r carbs on a bogg brother manifold and they are great, smooth responsive and more economical. But thats only my opinion.
Have you seen the price of dcoes?
£240 each from demon tweeks
then youll need a manifold £125
linkage £50
filters £100
all plus vat and carriage
so your looking at a grand for carbs
id go for bike carbs or throttle bodies if it was my car
