Oil Takeoff plate

Good Evening!

I Need an oil take off plate for the Zetec engine i have as im trying to put it in a mg, but the oil filter gets in the way of the body. I once used a Mocal remote filter kit on a XE engine i had in a mini but didnt get around to drawing up how it worked. I need one for the Zetec and feeling abit tight to spend some money on a kit when i could quite easly make one. But i can only do that if i knew how it worked. All i need to know really is how to section off "oil in" and "oil out" within the take off plate.

Has anyone ever made one on here. or have any drawings to explain how the oil out and return works?

The one i had looke like this:
REMOTE OIL FILTER PLATE FIESTA ESCORT RS TURBO ZETEC on eBay (end time 27-Feb-11 14:19:51 GMT)

i could just pay 25 quid for this one but then i could make one for free locost right!

Thanks again.

Adam

I doubt its possible to make one unless youve got a machine shop to hand. The threads are standard M20 (was on mine anyway) but youll need to make up a sandwich plate with oil fittings to get the oil out and in again.

I have a machine shop to hand The sandwich plates i was looking at looked like they were mainly for fitting an oil cooler. I just need to relocate the filter itself
