Can anyone sugest an IVA frendly routing option for the speedo cable ?
I've heard of putting a hole in the tunnel and cable into the footwell...??

I did the same but in the top of the tunnel and then into a 90deg (it's behind the dash so not unsightly), I also cut a hole in the side of the tunnel in-line with the adaptor so I can get at it if needed. just made a slightly oversized panel which screws in place over the hole.

Might be a good idea because the original 2" piece of rod that goes inside the 90deg adaptor broke! I tried using a piece of old speedo cable but the square drive bit is only about 1/2" along the cable then it is round . I made a temporary replacement out of steel but I don't know how long it will last. So I am looking for a replacement piece.

When I had the type 9 gearbox fitted, had the same problem, and did as you have and fitted a filed down piece of metal as couldn't get the flexy bit. This worked for some 5k miles untill I replaced the box with an MT 75. Cheers Ray

Speedy cables say £75 plus vat plus post ..eeeeeeek...

I think the hole in the tunnel wall is looking very atractive at the moment !
