60 litres

8.5 gallons

mccsp - 20/3/14 at 09:17 PM

It's not how big it is but how you use it that matters

Approx 25l + 2l swirl pot. When the ticker pump gets loud I am down to a couple of useable litres.

cerbera - 20/3/14 at 09:29 PM

Thats summat I've worked out recently. 30 litres.

Who worked out?

jollygreengiant - 20/3/14 at 10:02 PM

Not entirely sure, what I do know is that the FIRST time I filled it (on the way to SVA about 5 years ago) it cost nearly £70 to fill it. I think I worked it out at about 11.5 - 12 gallons. Enough for a 240 mile round trip.

Here you go as per body of text 11.82 gallons. linky to original posting

35 Litre with 2L swirl
But getting 35 Litre in is a mission so normally expect 30 Litre

6.5 gallons / 30 litres in mine. Range all depends on how it's driven, between 60 and 200+ miles.

I've been building my own composite fuel tank for my fury - it's been a complex and drawn out process but if you fancy a bit of a read, here it is.

I've designed it to run down the transmission tunnel (IRS, so no inconvenient prop movement). I'm also making a fully structural transmission tunnel replacement, which will have composite prop-catchers in (Aramid) so I have full protection between prop and tank. I'm not duly concerned - most of the wayward energy is angular if a prop shears so the catchers don't need to absorb a lot while it spins down.

killerferret666 - 21/3/14 at 10:27 AM

12 Gallons.

I have the space and id like to be able to use it on long runs and with a 2litre turbo engine a good size tank was needed.

renetom - 21/3/14 at 10:50 AM

6.5 gallons
