Starter Motor Identification

Hi Guys,

I need to replace the starter motor in my Tiger Avon, but as I didn't build it I don't know which one to get!

How would I identify the right one, without taking the gearbox out to look at the flywheel?

It has a 2l zetec with a type 9 bolted onto the back. Pics of the starter below. The gear has 10 teeth

Have a word with Starterman, he should be able to help.

More than likely a LUCAS LRS707 but as stated above, starterman should be able to help you out.

The LUCAS LRS707 is the standard one most seem to fit to a Zetec and type 9 and is what I have fitted.

Looks like an LRS707 to me.
