you've got to love this forum at times - well done that man.
I think we should have a competition for a question that can't be answered in 6 months! Winner gets to still puzzle about the answer after teh
competition closes.

But did they not decide that 42 was'nt right & so built the earth as an experiment to find the true meaning, all of which went tits-up when
the earth was destroyed for the building of a space highway?
Or have I got that wrong?

42 was the correct answer, the Earth was built to explain what the question actually meant.
It actually turned out it went tits-up a lot earlier when the Golgafrincham B Ark crash landed on the stone age earth and all the natives died out due
to competition from marketing executives, hairdressers and telephone sanitisers.
