Its a pity this thread has gone this way. The humour on this forum is one of the reasons I like it here. I thought the first replay was both funny and actually (slightly) useful. As with all forums, if you don't like someones reply, just ignore it and take the good bits, having a strop at someone just makes you look immature and agressive and sets everyone against you.

By the way, if you'd mentioned in your initial post that you wanted opinions of the pros and cons of those 3 particular engines, rather than the more vague 'any up to 929cc' you would have had a better response, that may have answered what you actually wanted to know. Your question will just generate a list of the engines up to the size you specified, and if you're lucky some details of that engine, rather than a comparison with the other engines.

Regards
Hugh

That was the best advice anyone could've given, when I raced karts it made a lot of sense to watch the races and look through the programmes at what chassis/engine combos people ran. Gives you a rough idea of the good, bad and ugly.

personally, I reckon the 929 has an edge over the 919's Joni.... they have a slight edge in grunt, and once we get into 5th gear and up above 90-100mph the 929 just seems to have a bit more push.

there is more tme to be had in set up and driving, but for the last tenth or two - I'd have the injected motor

zx-9 do seem pokey... Paul's is definately sharp, and they can be had for handy money - so may be worth a punt ??

did you end up buying the narrow westy roller that Graham had ? could be made a VERY light car that one, that could get you bang on weight
