For more info from builders of the Zero pop along to the RHOCaR forums: www.RHOCaR.org

There's plenty of builders about who wouldn't mind showing you their build and even taking you for a run so you can feel what the chassis is like.

I would choose MK as a company and either the Indy or the Indy R too...

You ask which chassis is best.

there is probably more to it than just the chassis and as for which is "best" that depends on what your looking for, budget---resale--keep forever--serious power etc....

my experiences of the following are:

MK

Been calling in for odd parts, for approx 5years, very helpful and informative.
wander in anytime. very hands on and all getting stuck in like they enjoy it.

Purchased
MK Seats
Scuttle
Floor mounted Pedal kit
Steering column mounting bracket kit
Seat belt mounts and plates
panhard rod
got them to weld steering column
Sierra steering wheel - Free!

GBS

Very helpful and 2 way conversation, large premises and more business like, front office etc..

Full sheet of Ali
rivets - Rich gave me the whole box they were using for mot much money.
Acrylic adhesive
ali seat runners
Exhaust

MNR

again very helpful and willing to show you round the place, marc is very experienced and has a racing background so this car probably has the edge in that dept? and his dad is always bouncing about the place, great guys.

Body tub
front wings
rear lights
roll bar and back stays

my opinion? they all offer different things.

all round---MK
Value-------GBS
Quality-----MNR

it depends what you want!

IC

measure twice, cut once, scrap it, start again.

Some good advise above, just ring around them all and search out any issues.

Someone above said pick what type of engine you want first, which does make sense.

Customer support is so so important.

I looked into all the kits availiable in the Derbyshire-Sheffeild(shire) area, test drove a few and did a lot of research.

Conclusion was that I would buy a Mac#1, such a great car and genuinely nice guys, after that it would have been an Aries. Neither MK or GBS impressed me enough to want to buy a car.

In the end I built a Race Car and so didn't buy a kit but if I had it would have no doubt been a Mac#1, might be worth giving them a call and giving them a visit (they are/were in Killamarsh just south of Sheffeild), I think it would certainly throw a third option into the mix.
