Thought I'd update this
Today we had our mortgage offer through and some more good news that the £5k retention that was originally in place due to the damp issues has been
removed.
Apparently due to the now lower price and the loan to value ratio it was now deemed that no retention was required!
So all round a good outcome and we can look forward to exchanging contracts soon.
