I do weddings for a living, and the best is be clear and remember to write it down. really just a bunch of thank you's, when you mention how beautiful the bridesmaids are remember to say "but not as beautiful as my wife" lots of brownie points. Remember this is the only time you will geta chance to speak without any interuptions from the boss!!!

can i offer you a very big tip, my partner take wedding photos for a living and she tells me this is a good thing to do

send her some flowers to be delivered a few hours before shes due to leave for the wedding telling her how much you love her and that you cant wait to marry her.

works a treat so i'm told

Right, I'm back from the honeymoon, and we're still together! Many thankjs to all who offered help/advice/general congrats. In the end I managed to completely make the speech up as I went, and from all accounts it sounded half decent! Just got to figure out more/new ways of buying stuff without her finding out!
