Dont know if its just me but Ive moved over to gasless,simply cos my local pub wholesaler wouldnt flog me gas anymore.I find it great now I'm used to it and I'm just using an ancient clarke welder that aint got polarity reversal etc just go over the weld with a wire brush which you should do before painting any road.

Have you tried getting gas off BOC, there's probably a few in your area. There's a number you can phone to find out where your nearest one is.

There is one just down the road but when I first bought the welder 15 year ago the cost was crazy,plus Im well chuffed with gasless Ok its a few bob more but you dont run out of gas on a Sunday when everywheres shut
