Wasn't there a VW design a few years ago done by their trainees? Enclosed body two seater with 7esque front wings.
LJK Setright wrote that a three wheeler had a theoritical advantage in the torsional rigidity stakes. The argument was along the lines that a tripod
is always stable because all three points are in contact with the ground even on the most irregular of terrain so a three wheeler would be more evenly
loaded and may not need to be so torsionaly rigid.
I'm not entirely convinced but his argument sounded effective.
Low tyre pressure for the rear wheel sounds feasible allowing the tyre to distort and keep more tread in contact with the road.
The biggest disadvantage for three wheeler use in the UK is - after avoiding that pothole with your front wheels you just know where your rear wheel
is going

mfgr.)has gone bancrupt twice.... doing the original one....
If someone think SVA is tough you've got to see what the SAAQ require here...Still searching a way to get a project on the road.....

Interesting reading from everyone!! I think the 3-wheelers is very exiting to drive! I´ve driven my Mride T42 turbo about 1500km and it´s so
outstanding!! The performance of the T42 is much better then almost any car. I have 300bhp in 460kg. The cornering with standard tyres is much better
then a car with the same type of tyres, and the acc is also better "even if the rear tyre grip is a bit limited with 300bhp"  I have
driven meny locost seven cars too with up to 350hp bmw turbo engines. And all I can say is that the 4-wheeler is much quicker in a dragrace start till
about 100km/h. After that till about 170km/h, the 3 and 4-wheelers is the same. > 170km/h the seven have really bad aerodynamics, so the trike just
flyes past!!
To compair my T42 trike with a seven in cornering (with Same typ of tyres). The seven is a little bit faster Even if the trike handles really good
with fine ballance and a little bit of understeer on the edge.
My T42 trike brakes 1.06G with really old/hard standard tyres, which is even better then meny sevens.. The argument about a 3-wheeler is unstable is
really not a rule. The 3-wheeler is VERY sensitive about which tyres it rulling on. You MUST have a very stiff cartyre in the back (two frontwheeled
trike) or else it will be really dangerous Like having the biketyre in the rear- BIG no no!!!.
If you are doing everything right, you will have a really fast eyecatching vehicle that turns everyones head!! (trust me I know)

Micke,
It is good to hear from you. I tried awhile back to contact you a few times but I had no luck. I have been following your build for about a year. I
think it is a great ride and I like your idea for reverse. I have one that is close to your way that I will try soon. I am starting a second 3wheeler
that will have 2 seats. I have a wife and 3kids and I am tired of driving alone, I want to share my fun. The fastest I have been would be somewhere
around 120-130 and the thing was still pulling hard. I have put working on a body off for awhile so I can build my next 3wheeler. I am using a Honda
CBR 1000 for RQT and I have a Suzuki Rf900R for my next one...and some turbos. I have not fabbed up the stuff needed for the turbos yet as I am
waiting to make a wider rear swing arm for the rear. I have a friend that drag races turbo bikes and he is going to help get the system set up. You
are right that about it being hard to get tracktion off the line but once you get going...forget it, it will fly. It is a great blast to be on a
public road with people looking and trying to pull you over just to see it or even following you home just to see and talk about it. I have had alot
of fun building RQT and working out some of the problems and I look forward to my next build. I will keep in touch as I go.
