Now now... don't tar us all with the same brush . I know of at least two other gtr owners with a 7 stashed in the garage (and another with an ex F3000 car!!). There are plenty of us who are just plain old car nuts.

R32's and 33's are pretty cheap to buy now (sadly running them is a different story!), so you'll find all sorts in them.

Sadly, too often true. They're fearsomely complex, particularly electronics, so not easy to DIY fiddle. Having said that, there are plenty of us who do a lot of work on our cars ourselves. In my case, it usually means I end up breaking something and having to spend more money

And yes, there are far too many of them that have been given the MaxPower treatment .

They're very powerful - even with minor tweaks like induction, exhaust and a boost controller, very fast, but weigh as much as the QE2!

I've started looking at seven kits because I want something I can tinker with - and break - without breaking the bank, and that I can hurl around a track all day and get a new set of disks for £50, rather than half a brake pad!

eznfrank - swap you a ride in mine for a ride in yours ... anytime!

i can appreciate everyones opinions , i myself agree , it may not be to everyones tastes ,but i love it and to me thats what matters. I will say though a hell of a lot of hard work has gone into building this car over the last 4 years ( afterall , i had one of the best teachers you could ask for " Jacko " ) and everything from the engine re-build , re-spray , welding etc,etc as been done all with my own hands. All the parts have been sourced by myself with alot of help of one big tuner , but as most people , i also have ran to a budget.

For those of you that are interested i have a project thread here :- http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=79295

although this is really only what ive done over the last 3 months and theres still loads to do.

cheers Jacko's son Mike

Well I think that's a totally awsome piece of kit and looks superb, well done.

I had a drive of a 500bhp R32 a couple of years ago, I wont forget that in a hurry. Quickest thing I've ever driven ...... scared the crap out of me!!
